Before I Say Goodbye

by Erica Nichole   Nov 20, 2005

Before I say goodbye
could I have 1 last kiss
can I feel your warm, gentle touch
the kind I could never resist

Before I let you go
can I hear your sweet voice say
that you love me no matter what
and that everything will be okay

Your tall, dark figure moves further away
Oh, so much I will miss
the way we once cared for one another
I begin to laugh and reminisce

You were my heart, my soul
my moon in the sky
you were always on my mind
the apple of my eye

As this tear slowly slips down my face
I remember our teenage love and devotion
but now all I can do is cry myself a river
and hope that it will lead to your ocean
