All I could see was bare naked walls
Left trying to hide away my fears
Only silence was heard in the room
As they stared through all my tears
No man could speak of what I'd done
I hid my face as the moon hides the sun
I was to be put in the chair they say
Left never to see the light of day
They came for me through huge cast iron doors
Hit me till I finally dropped to that cold floor
They yelled and screamed and hit so hard
They dragged me right out to the yard
The yard was bare and all alone
Except the hole broken into the stone
I walked over and peeked inside
Tripped on a rock and went for a ride
Outside of the tunnel raindrops were heard
The swish of the sea, the tweet of a bird
Although it seemed so far away
I couldn't stop, refused to stay
The noise got closer as I moved along
It seemed to get louder as I got strong
The tunnel got deeper by the minute
I found a bottle with your letter in it
In an ancient sewer I read your letter
Your beautiful handwriting made me feel better
As I read it I could hear your voice
I don't understand why I made this choice
I love you and I'll see you soon
I'll save you darling by the moon
I continued on until the morning
I reached the end, outside it was storming
I felt the raindrops cool my face
I licked my lips and liked the taste
I fell down onto my scraped knees
And felt the sand that met the seas
