Bring Your Dad to School Day

by Depressed_Without_Reason   Nov 20, 2005

It was "Bring Your Dad to School Day,"
On that warm and sunny day in May,
But no one noticed the little girl who sat all by herself,
As the kids all tan to get their gifts off the shelf,
Then when it was time to introduce her dad,
No one noticed the sad look she had,
"My mom said my dad has left the world,
I miss how we played games, twisted, and twirled,
But my mom says he has left us for the Lord,"
With that she sat back down without a word,
As the day came to an end,
The little girl looked up and said, "Hi Daddy, i hope you're happy with your new friend."
