Father

My heart is broken into peices,
Because of you my father.
You left my mom with two kids by her side,
Defending the world for all three of us.

You always said I love you,
But i guess you didnt mean it.
You left us alone,
To defend us from the world unknown.

My mom does what she can,
Shes been the very best.
She has taken down those monsters,
The ones that haunted me long ago.

I still dont fully forgive you,
Even though its been over ten years.
I may say I love you,
But I always question it.

I always think of you,
Because you are trying your best.
I get that you love me,
But my heart has heard to many stories.

You are my father,
No matter what.
The fact that you are trying,
Makes things easier to forget.
