Sea of Pain

by Unseen Exposure   Nov 20, 2005

I'm lost inside this sea of hate
As a matter of fact, I'm plunging
I'm reaching for the exit
Grasping, screaming, lunging

This laced white gown of purity-
Drenched in violated pools of pain
Blood red streams intertwining
Around the teeth marks on my vein

But bitterness will protect me
Tolerance will keep me composed
I'll close my eyes and poise
And beg to be kept unexposed

The water crawls into my mouth
And finds its way to my lungs
I'm wailing now and out of breath
My benevolent attempts, out sung

Love kept me in her memory
And locked me away in her past
I'm asphyxiated on trying to escape
But the oxygen is running out fast

Shove irrelevance from my head
And focus on surviving this mess
God for bid I drown in such fashion
The water is beginning to compress

Fight for the shoreline, rise, then fall
These waves can only consume
Blue water, speckled in red - breathe
A helpless fetus stuck in a womb

I think of all the things I've done
The things that I've been through
I will not let this be the end of me
Out of the water, return to you.
