My greatest fear

fear....a scary word....unlike many of your fears you can never escape fear itself....not really....it is a human instinct instilled in us by whatever the hell is up there.....or is it? perhaps we created fear....perhaps we created fear to shelter us from pain....perhaps we created fear so that we may never have to experience these nightmares, this hurt, this shit that brings us down.....
fear may offer protection but let me ask you, is it worth it? yes you will be safe, you may miss out on heartbreak, save your self some grief.....all of these petty things a bit of counseling could help you forget....is it really worth missing that one kiss, that one chance, that one dance that could take a lifetime to forget?
as we choose our paths through life we ignore these doors, these mysterious doors. they are everywhere. behind most are greatness, love and success, but behind a few of these doors, monsters lie. but we close our eyes, our minds to these doors and miss out on oh so many opportunities. why? because of our ignorance, our fear that upon opening a door we will be faced with a monster. we walk on silently, on our path of comfort, ignoring these doors, unaware that the true monster lies within our hearts. fear: the monster of all monsters, giving a false sense of security, depriving of opportunities of a life time
