A Blue Eyed Angel

by FNO   Nov 20, 2005

A blue eyed boy
sits alone in his room
and waits quietly
for the beating he'll get soon

nothing has been broken
no words did he shout
but he wouldn't even try
to wiggle his way out

scars are re-opened
memories flood the floor
both legs have welts
he cant stand up n-e-more

so his father lashes
the leather at his innocent face
that will soon be torn up
blood taking its place

the boy has done nothing
but sit in his room
if he is quiet for a little bit longer
the beating will end soon

but this night is different,
not like the rest
his father exceeds the limit
put the boys life to the test

the boy knows the truth
he will surly die
so now he starts to scream
and loudly cries

but nobody hears
his cries ring through the town
the daddy leaves the boy
lying motionless on the ground

the police men have come
to check on the blue eyed boy
they find him lying
next to his broken toys

the father is missing
no word did he leave
the words echo in the hall way
"daddy stop, please!"

a funeral is held
the news is there to tell
about the boys young life
that ended in h e l l

but the story is like the rest
laid aside too soon
all that is left is a
blue eyes angel sitting in his room
