Locked In Solitude

by Kristy Green   Nov 21, 2005

Locked in solitude
you whisper in my brain
flash photos and laughter on a memory slide
thoughts of the recent past steal me away from reality
my departure is bitter sweet
not wanting to stay
but not wanting to lose you

Alone with myself
you sit in the corner
never saying a thing
I scream and scream at you
but a memory can't hear
and it won't care how loud you speak
it just don't listen

Tears and pain fall from trembling fists
as I scream obsentities at you
Locked in solitude
I'm again alone with you
you're all I've got

.. And when I think of you
do they believe me when I say
.. I'm not...
