I was so afraid that this would happen,
but you assured me not to fear.
You told me not to worry,
you said you would still always be here.

I listened to your words,
and though I did not agree,
I tried to support your wishes,
and be as understanding as I could be.

You took the second job,
and for a while things were okay.
We were fine for a little while,
but it\'s a bit different today.

Our relationship is struggling,
even though you said it would not.
You said it wouldn\'t effect us.
Maybe your promises you forgot.

I hardly get to see you,
you\'re hardly ever around.
You\'re always at one of your jobs,
working yourself into the ground.

Whenever i do get to see you,
you;re always exhausted and in a bad mood.
Then you make me grumpy too,
and to eachother we are so rude.

I don\'t get to \'hang out\' with you anymore,
those days feel like they are in the past.
For whenever i get to see you,
we have to depart so very fast.

I am trying to be tolerant.
I am trying to understand.
I am trying to be supportive,
I\'m trying to hold your hand.

But how long am I supposed to do this?
How long must this go on for?
How long do you expect me to understand?
How much more do you want me to endure?

It\'s not fair on me or you,
work is ripping us apart,
and us not being right,
is completely destroying my heart.

We\'re as confused and stressed as eachother,
and you tell me you don\'t know what to do.
I wish that I could help you,
but babe I can\'t organise your life for you.

We\'re in this current state,
mostly because of you.
So you\'re the one who needs to sort it out,
you need to figure out what to do.

You need to sort out your priorities,
ask yourself, what\'s most important to you?
Search deep within your soul,
and you\'ll find the answers honest and true.

Once you answer that,
you can act accordingly.
You can try and balance your time,
and hopefully the improvements we will see.

After you make the first step,
to sorting this problem out,
we can work together on our relationship,
and live life without doubts.

But you need to make decisions,
you\'re the one who needs to start.
You\'ve got to find a way to make this better,
and heal my hurting heart.
