If I had one wish I would use it for my cousin Shannon to come home. She wasn't just my cousin she was also my best friend. Me and Shannon did everything together from playing dolls to double dates. We've always been there for each other throughout the years. But in February 2005 Shannon's father forced her to move to BC with him. Me and Shannon haven't talked since Shannon moved, but Shannon's mom talks to her every Monday. Shannon wants to come home but her dad just wont let her. Shannon was 12 when she was forced to move to BC and is now 13. I miss her so much. She used to be over at my house like everyday and we'd always have fun. We were as close as any two people can be. Everyone always told me that she cant be my best friend because she's my cousin but we just ignored them. We were inseparable. Sure we had a few fights here and there, but don't all friends?
Shannon moving away has been one of the hardest things I've had to deal with, and I still cant. I didn't even get to see her before she moved. It was heartbreaking because one day I was talking to her then the next day she was gone. I still feel my heart breaking over this, I mean I lost my cousin and my best friend. She was like a twin I never had. I'm crying as I write this for it is very hard. I just want everyone to realize that your cousin can be your best friend, your mom can, your dad can, anyone can. Shannon was an amazing friend to me. We didn't even find out that we were cousins until like two years ago. Shannon was one of the biggest people that made an impact upon my life. She helped me get through my parents splitting up, my first break up and much much more. I have so many memories of us that i know I will always cherish. But I know that if I ever could have one wish granted it would be to bring Shannon home. I miss her so much. I just want her to be home safe and sound and in the arms of her loving mother and her loving Cousin! Shannon if you read this I love you and I hope my wish comes true. PLEASE BRING SHANNON HOME!
