Through Artist Eyes

by ntv650   Nov 21, 2005

My pen pushed to this page,
As my hand pressed to yours.
Coarse brush to slight touch,
Like my lips to soft her's.

Canvas dabbled with paint,
And life memories made.
The perfect ladies face,
By my strokes stained.

These etchings and markings,
Spoiled by raw eyes, naive hands.
Wrought out of those emotions,
That embellish an artists life.

Let me not commit sins abject,
When capturing the light dancing,
Or decorating a vivid splendour.
Let there be silence when I draw.

And even if then just hesitation,
Ridicule or misgiving be found.
The likeness is already too flawed,
To compare to a Love so profound.
