Hold On

I know life can sometimes bring you down
But hold on for me
Sometimes you just want to pick up the blade and cut
You have to hold on
Life can be so great
Don't just look at the bad days
Think of all the good ones too
Think about all the beauty in the world
So hold on
Take my hand and we will do it together
I will help you through it
Never give up
You are a fighter and that is what you will do
Good day, or bad
You have to hold on
Life can be so wonderful
If you just give it a chance
Think about all the amazing things
You would miss, if you died
Don't take the plunge
It's not your time yet
You are loved, even if you don't think you are
There is always somebody
Who will miss you
I know I will
That is why you have to hold on
Whether you think it's worth it or not
I know your life is precious
We can make it work
So please, hold on

    Good work on the poem it has a good meaning. It sounds like you're trying to reach out to the person and tell them that they will miss a lot if they kill themself.

    What an encouraging and persuading poem. The repeating of "hold on" worked well because it got the message loud and clear into the readers head. It read as sort of a desperate plea from one person to another, begging them to think before they jump so to speak. I liked the last line too, a strong ending. Only suggestion is to think about different words to describe things, it's just I feel in places you have repeated yourself where it isn't necessary and maybe a more creative word could be put in it's place.
    Anyway good job, keep it up.

    That is very inspirational. You should post it on the discussion boards. Maybe it will make some peoples days brighter. Just a thought but a very great poem.
