World of pain

by dezi   Nov 23, 2005

She sits over yonder, watching the clouds float above.
How she wished for the man she loved.
The sentiments that run through her mind.
Only she will know. what she has left behind.

No one to hear her heart cry, she just lets it die.
Not wanting to face a new day, or let anyone take his place.
She stares into the deep blue sea,
wondering why they weren't meant to be.

His voice echoes loud and clear, down rolls a delicate tear.
He meant the world to her, but he didn't care.
He walked away without looking in her eyes,
they were filled with fear

Silently contemplating life's little dramatic play.
A story without a happy ending, life's moment of dismay.
If she can fall in love once, she knows it will happen again.
But last time was different, how can one pretend?

The scent of him lingers in the air, still no one can compare.
Reminiscing of time spent,
drifting to a world that is much different yet.
What would it be like, where would she be?
If he still loved her, and didn't want to be free?

She closes her eyes, and raises her head to the sky
Yells: "Why is this happening, why must it be me"?
She feels so alone in her world of pain, where she will forever remain.
