The sky is clear, the air so warm,
Our bodies sad and cold...
A cherub was brought unto her freedom,
For her Father to now hold.
Our souls find comfort within her peace,
Our gaze lowered to the ground...
Memories of her spoken,
New emotions felt and found.
God was lonely in His sky,
And so, He searched the Earth...
For someone with the love He needed,
That's when He saw her.
His eyes glowed with pride and delight,
For the child He placed here years before...
"It's time she came to Heaven's gates!" He thought,
"A new star for all to adore."
And so He took her shaking hand,
To lead her safely to her new home...
Find relief in knowing, she's now smiling;
Free to explore, fly, and roam.
I know our eyes are filled with tears,
At the passing of this light...
But in our darkened sky above,
She's the star that keeps it bright.
Though she doesn't reside on earth,
You are never far apart...
She's a spirit up in Heaven,
And an angel in our hearts.
