My Heart Cries...

by Elisheba Jackson   Nov 23, 2005

My heart cries...
My heart cries out for the world
For every boy and girl
For every child that has been raped
Molested, photographed, or videotaped
My heart cries...
My heart cries out for the violence
For those who have died, lets have a moment of silence
For those who are carrying guns for protection
Instead of going to school for an education
My heart cries...
My heart cries out for the homeless
For those who are helpless
For those who lost hope
For those who are smoking, snorting, and shooting dope
My heart cries...
My heart cries for the incarcerated
For families that have been separated
For those who are lying and stealing
For those who are going around killing
My heart cries...
Take away the tears
Take away the fears
For my heart cries...
Take away the pain
I'm going insane
For my heart cries...
Some of the things above I've been through
Hopefully you won't have to
Now you know the reason why
For every day that my heart cries

My heart cries...

Really excellent poem; you seem to really care about what goes on in the world and have a sort of longingness to help those who you don't even know! awesom keep it up
