The Play

by Mr O   Nov 23, 2005

Walking hand in hand
On a night so warm
Watching the waves
Of a distant storm

Not one word
Do these lovers speak
Yet a tear
Falls down her cheek

He turns to her
And finds the tear
Seen in her eye
A love so dear

I am but an actor
To whom the stage is set
The wave my only audience
My soul their out to get

I play upon this cold world
Of water, ski, and sand
Knowing that you're nowhere near
But in a distant land

For this is just
My fondest dream
Where I am king
And you my queen

Always together
We shall be
When dreams become
Reality
