Vampire Princess

by Autumn   Nov 23, 2005

The blood of old
The blood of new
Captivating in all you do

Thriving on the life of others
A crimson desire
Living forever
Thanking only your sire

You’re a lovely creature
With your sharp fangs
Committing the crime
While another hangs

Seductress at heart
Luring men to you
Lies of a false love
Of their fate, if only they knew

Night and only night
You come to feast
On the blood of the living
While you are dead but not deceased

Hunters track you down
Wanting to stake your heart
You know better
Eluding them like an art

Dracula’s own bride
And eternity is ahead looking ever so beautiful
Surrounded by blood red

Only one vulnerability
A ball of fire in space
Even the tiniest shimmer
Will cause your existence to be erased

Feed the meal of a fiend
Drinking all the blood bleed
You are one of then
Of the ranks of the undead

A really superb tale of a vampire princess. Being someone who is interested in vampires' tales, this definitely captured my attention. An enjoyable read. The descriptions are great and yes it is dark. A poem that keeps me going to the very end and I can't seem to get enough of it. Keep writing! =)
