Dark Gift

by Autumn   Nov 23, 2005

The desperate plight of a young girl
Taking pity
He will grant her a death
Oh so pretty

A night like any other
She cried
He came to her
Out of the darkness he would hide

He offered her death
But she wouldn't be dead
A vampire
Like in the books shes read

She was given a choice
Unlike most
But if she took it
In the flames of eternity she would roast

She did not understand
But she did believe
But living could be a nightmare
She didn't want to conceive

She didn't know what to do
Thinking of why she wanted to die
She remembered
It was all because of a pretty lie

She wanted to leave this place
So she would go away
Accepting his gift
She would say goodbye to the day

She didn't have to tell him
He already knew
At that moment
His love for his future fledgling grew

He took her into his strong arms
Leaning in
He took her life
But gave her a new with the Dark Sin

They left before the dawn
As fledgling and sire
Children of the night
Vampire and Vampire
