I look at him,
& my mind starts to drift.
what if the gears were to shift?

what would happen
if we were to date,
even though its not fate?

how would things go?
would it be a blast?
how long would it last?

would he ever make me feel
like you do?
would he be able to?

I'm not sure
& i don't want to know
so i blink and let go
