No regrets

by penny   Nov 23, 2005

It may have been distressing
It may have torn me to shreds
It may have been painful
I may have bled

It may have been bleak
It may have been consuming
It may have been merciless
The days so long and gruelling

Tears may have rolled
Crimson, black and clear
Scars may have formed
In anguish, agony and fear

But I don't regret one second
Not one moment at all
Because the dejection that I lived through
Has made me understand what it is to stand tall

Wow, that's comforting in a strange sort of way. Thank you very much for writing that, it gave me some things to think about it. I really really liked it.
