I Fell For My Best Friend

Friends are always there,
if ever you feel blue.
Friends hold out their hand,
to help guide you through.

When my friend reached out his hand,
My heart, it skipped a beat.
The empty space inside of it,
was suddenly complete.

I couldn't understand it,
I stopped to wonder why.
The man of my dreams was always here,
but I always passed him by.

Yes, I fell for my best friend,
the only man who ever cared.
And if something should happen with us,
would we lose the love we shared?

I'm scared that it might happen,
if we ever happend to part.
So, I'll keep all of my love for him,
bottled up tightly in my heart.

Because if I ever lost him,
I'd lose part of me too.
The part of me that helps me out,
of nasty situations I go through.

It would be too much of a risk,
one that I'm not willing to take.
Because the bond we have is strong,
I don't want a chance for it to break.

So I'll love him unconditionally,
right to the very end.
Because he's my heart and soul,
My hero and very best friend.
