Broken

by Paul Eyles   Nov 24, 2005

Looking into the Abyss of Despair
Teetering on the edge
the slightest breeze pushing me over.
Plunging into the icy cold unforgiving darkness

The demons of despair and pain
tear my heart asunder
breaking my body
shredding my spirit

The cold darkness drowns
filling me with darkness and cold
It is so dark and cold
lying broken on the jagged rocks of despair

Will i ever see the light again?
Or will i waste away in the dark sea
lost, alone and broken
