Fate

by Rich   Nov 24, 2005

I climb that mountain every day
I've looked for a path or an easier way
My mind plays tricks but my heart it knows
To climb any other way would cause me to slow

Life's not fair it's often cruel
I've learned my lesson by being a fool
You can't make an excuse you can not quit
You must keep onward and keep your wits

It's ok to dream it's ok to hope
But don't get careless and let go of that rope
Maybe it's a curse or maybe it's a mistake
But I think it's just life and I call it fate
