When i first met you

I remember that day
when we first met
you looked at me
i looked at you
you had such a way of grasping my eyes
you flirted on and on
made me laugh
and smile and even blush
i felt somehow maybe you could happen
we talked and talked for many weeks
and over that summer we talked some more
the next school year when i first got to school
you were standing at the door waiting for me
we hugged and that night i knew i had fallen in love with you
i still dont know why i let them get in between us
but i did
i let them bug me
so i dumped you
i found it would take much more than that to get over you
all that year we were on and off
i just started talking to you again
but you are leaving my school
i dont know how but i think i might still love you
or else i just dont want to let go of my first true love
