Thorns of my Soul

by rawrrr♥   Nov 25, 2005

I am like a rose whose beauty is hidden amidst thorns,
Longing to escape, but cast away by pain.
The anguish felt causing inward beauty to be forlorn.
A soul souring with passion, ‘though mislead by lies.
Those grasped by this beauty are forced away by thorns of insecurity.
In turn, more pain emerges, driving the beauty still father away,
While it slowly begins to wither.
