Daddy's Little Girl

by sami   Nov 25, 2005

A little girl
So young and small
Scraped her knee
From her fall

A big, strong hand
Helped her up
Then carried her home
Like a pup

She walks to class
Tears on her face
Scared of school
Then feels the embrace

First day of school
Isn't so bad
When you have the love
Of the best dad

The very first date
A nervous wreck
Dad questions the boy
As an extra check

His little girl
Growing so fast
Capture the moment
And make it last

Thinking back on these times
The memories begin to swirl
But then he remembers
She will always be daddy's little girl
