We can't hold onto everything

scattered along
the path we lay are memories
faded
crumpled
disposed of
some so good
i wonder why they were gotten rid of
and others
so terrible
I'm impressed they didn't leave scars
but no matter
sometimes i wish
i could take them back
gather the good with the bad
because just knowing
that i too leave memories behind
bothers me
it bothers me knowing I'm losing apart of me
I'm falling apart
maybe i don't want to lose anything else
some precious memory
that i had kept hidden from even myself
that one that was forgotten
is now the one that is lost
maybe there is no way to stop this
no way to bind us back together
not even the super strength super glue can help this
guess we can't hold on to everything forever
