StoryBook

Why must this time be so hard
You were my ultimate hero
You, my shelter and my guard
now you fade so slow

I love you father,so very much
In my fears you held me
Joy came with your tender touch
And eyes that truly sees

In the night, you told me stories
Of princesses and knights
Describing their bright glories
the wrongs and the rights

You taught me to be brave, dad
You taught me to be kind
I am so frightened without you, dad
Losing now, my mind

All those stories had happy endings
why not true, why can't we too
On everything before, I was depending
On the things you do

But now you're gone, the book is closed
tears flow pass my eyes
As I hold this woeful red rose
To pull back another cry

I will be brave, I will happy
To be what you wished
I will restore your grace and majesty
your name shall be cherished
