Frankie && Johnny

This is a story
based on an Elvis story i love
Frankie and johnny were lovers
as true as stars above

johnny was a gambler
Frankie loved to dance
every night johnny was in the casino
taking risks and a chance

johnny needed someone lucky
then a redhead caught his eye
he gambled with a gorgeous chick
and won it all with Nellie bly

Frankie could not stand this!
she took off in a zoom
she rushed upstairs to room 208,
for that was Nellie's room

they came up with a plan
for johnny wasn't being true
Frankie would dress up as Nellie
that would teach johnny a lesson or two

Frankie ended up dumping him
She couldn't take it anymore
she slapped him across his face
and ran out through the door

that night during the show
she did what wasn't fair
she held a fake gun up high
but a real bullet went through the air

the bullet did not kill johnny
he didn't even lose a limb
him and Frankie got back together
for she truly loved him
