Cellophane Romance

by Jordan   Nov 26, 2005

To the world he was mister invisible, but she saw him.
Staring with flushed cheeks and a butterfly ballet in her stomach.
He washed over her like a solid wave from an emerald ocean.
And she wanted to let go--dive in and just swim.

He walked past her and she held her breath sharply.
She held on until there was nothing left to grasp and he was gone again.
Another day without speaking those words that danced eagerly at the tip of her tongue.
Closing her eyes tightly she held back the pain that lingered darkly.

She decided to keep her feelings hidden, locked and barred.
A shielded heart was an unbreakable heart, she thought.
Rejection was on her mind and forever on her lips.
Loving from afar always with an unbreakable heart left so marred

He was mister invisible and to the world she was miss transparent, but he saw her.
