The end

We had been together
for what seemed like a life time
but then we hit a snag in our relationship

you start saying we should be friends with benefits
just so you go on a cruise
and do whatever you want

i tell you im not like that
that i love you to much
to do that sort of thing

you tell me you love me too
and that you wont bring it up again
not ever again

but then that night
you start saying that you might break up with me
and end this relationship

i start to cringe at thought of us going down the drain
so i just blert it out
\"fine im breaking up with you\"

you look stunned
and sad
but you dont say anything

i leave you that night
but come back the next morning
just so we can talk

you say its best
because we will be going to different school
and we need a break

then we leave each other
for we both know its the end
