You Are So Unholy!

by Anthony   Nov 26, 2005

Everybody's telling me,
That I'm always doing wrong.
But they always come back for more,
But they never stay for long.

I don't want to spend the rest of my life,
Entertaining the hypocrites of God,
They need to get some sense,
But they are all peas in one pod.

They're all the same in their critiques,
And I'm tired of standing by,
Listening to how I'm unholy,
Just because I lie.

I'm not some little boy,
For everyone to boss around.
Their pushing my emotions,
As I lay there on the ground.

I refuse to be beaten,
I refuse to let them win.
When will they open their eyes and realize,
Everyone on this earth sins?

The men of the cloths,
never say to leave me be.
So these vultures keep pecking,
To the deepest part of me.

This cannot continue,
There is only to run.
But I know that in my soul,
I'll remain the only one.

An insightful story of struggle....beautifully written. Stand tall, be guided by principles, do the right thing because is it the right thing to do. Great job!
