People

by Zach Cambria   Nov 26, 2005

Some may close their minds
To the thought of differenceâ??
Things peculiar to them and if they tried they could understand
But it is them who wish it to make no sense.
It is them who put their hand in their pocket
When a broken soul lies on the ground begging for rreprieveThese people who mock the homeless
Who live with worse people though the heartless
And when hardship looks them in the eye,
They get up and they leave
Not caring what they leave behind,
Nor the hearts they are tearing and breaking.
People who create disease and then stray from it;
They cant help but face the cold truth:
That they have caused this mess to unwind.
And in their hearts, only aching and distress you will find.
And if their disease they somehow catch,
Their own bitterness turns against them
They do not know what to do
where to go and they beg...
They beg to believe that they once had a good life,
But they see that they abused it;
And now others sit and stare at them
Cutting their soul with a butter knife
But at this point their soul has become to hard to cut
Too twisted with anguish;
And they sit on the streets of suffering
And among the dogs they crawl
A mutt
