Over the horizon

by Danushiya   Nov 27, 2005

Smoke swirled and filled the air
Noises of engines and chatter everywhere
Masive ships come and small ones go
what a place to explore!

Through all the ships and tiny boats
Appeared an elegant ship "a giant" I thought.
I wish I could stand on it's dock while the giant would glide through the vast sea
leaning to the railing as the salty breeze would knock against me
I thought this breeze would drift me in to the sky
Up above where sea gulls fly.

As dusk falls, I'd love to watch the sun go down disappearing in the air
but leaving some of it's orange yellow and red dazzling rays everywhere
and soon the sky would change into it's black coat still with orangish scars
then decorating it with twinkling stars

On this giant dock with the chilly breeze and the twinkling stars in sight
I wish I could dance silently in the moon light
Next would be a beginning of a new day there is no doubt
where the sun would shine again over the distant horizon and rest beside a cloud
Then I could only pray god to send
another lovely day like this which will never end.
