from across the room.
I was so nervous

even go over
at first.
I just watched you
making sure

see me.
But then I
caught you
watching me.
I was so scared
at first
but I caught
the fear
in your eyes, too.
You never came over
and I thought
its only
my imagination.
But then I
caught you
watching me, again.
I thought
to myself
no way
it must be
just a coincidence.
But then
I caught you
watching me, again.
We both broke out
in laughter.
I came over
and sit down
beside you.
We looked
at the floor
and then the wall.
I mumbled
you wanna dance
and you said
sure
I thought you would
never ask.
