The Next Day...

One day you said Hi,
That day I wanted to fly.
The next you said I love you to see my reaction,
That day, you were my only distraction.
It was your birthday, I sent you an e-card.
I hope you know I worked hard...

The next day I sent you a e-card of love,
With hearts and a dove.
You said you loved me, too.
Then you stuttered, 'Can you be my girlfriend?'
I wanted to say yes, but my heart needed time to mend.

Everyday I talk to you,
You say 'I love you more!',
I say it too, wondering what you love me for...
I introduced you to a friend the next day,
I knew you started to fall for her,
I always knew how happy you two were.

Every time you log in,
I know you two talk.
And you leave me on this lonely walk.
I wanted to be with you forever,
My love to you would be my only endeavor.

Now it's too late,
I cant change my fate.
I cant say I love you again,
I cant forget our time together way back when.
Thats all I have now since "The Next Day"...
