Walking Home

by Scraps of Broken Memories   Nov 28, 2005

I walked down the street alone.
With thoughts of you in my mind.
A shower of leaves blew my way,
As I left everything behind.

Everything¢??s melted together
As the wind blew across my face
And I continued walking on
At an intensely quickening pace

And so I kept on walking
I didn¢??t know where to go
And as I continued walking
The stars began to glow

I had reached my destination
Up top a hill up high
And I lay upon my back
And stared into the sky

The stars looked down onto me
And shone inconceivably bright
And I just looked up to them
As the silently pierced the night

The scene was like a picture
Everything in its frame
There everything seemed perfect
And nothing was to blame

I lay up high on that hill
And thoughts exhausted my head
I lay almost perfectly still
And all the thoughts soon fled

I went up top that hill one night
With thoughts of you in my mind
And now I¢??m walking home
And I¢??m leaving you behind
