Forget This

by Martyna   Nov 28, 2005

It has been a task to get through this day already
And when I place my head against my comfort
Your smells fills my nostrils
Yes
It still remains on my bed
Soon it will fade
Despite my desperate wishes for it to stay-Embeded
Within the cotton fiber
Forever
This smell takes me back
Strikes me
Strikes a match
That burns into a memory
I cant help thinking what if
Maybe you cant either
But none of that matters anymore
Or at least it shouldnt
I miss you
And that part of myself
That you must have taken along with you when you left
I always was forgetful
So why cant I forget now?

I love the detail you go into with your feelings... that's really what I've been lacking lately.
    "This smell takes me back
    Strikes me
    Strikes a match
    That burns into a memory"
This part sounds like a lovely song, it's got a great rhythm to it.

"I cant help thinking what if
    Maybe you cant either"
This kind of confused me... can't what? Oh wait I seriously just got it now. Nevermind... I think it's just punctuation that would make it clearer. Anyway... great job, must go read the rest of yours!

    Much love
