You, Me, Us

by Sara   Nov 28, 2005

I don't care if you reply,
Don't pull something dumb,
I could choose to wait and die,
Overdose drugs and rum.

I've given up the hope,
You could love me in return,
Though instead of needing dope,
It was you I did yearn.

I couldn't watch you ruin your life,
A bright future down the drain,
I needn't grab another knife,
You always talked away my pain.

I guess it is my chance and time,
To repay your kind deed,
And as I write out this sad rhyme,
I will always remember our need.

I will make you open up to me,
It is my choice and my right,
I only want you to see,
What is in our plain sight.

I know if you leave this world,
For a short time or forever,
My stability will slowly unfurl,
Without you holding it together.

So to save your life and save me too,
It is really all the same,
-I know I'd die without you,
In life's cruel and unjust game.

Don't try to push me away,
I know your pain and your feelings,
I will slowly make your opinion sway,
To help us both with our life dealings.
