Silly Mr Gregory
Why do you look so sad?
Daddy says that men dont cry
But then you aint my dad
Where is Mrs Gregory?
She said she'd be back soon
She promised we could make a cake
And I could lick the spoon

Stop it Mr Gregory
Try and be brave for me
Don't shake Mr Gregory
In case you spill your tea
Mrs Gregory would hate that
Tea on your nice new shirt
Where is Mrs Gregory?
I hope that she aint hurt

Beggin your pardon mister
But does she drive real slow?
I sent her out for ingredients
Over an hour ago
Who was that on the phone just now?
Was it Mrs G?
Didn't she say why she was late
Or wanna talk to me?

Why are you putting that suit on?
Why won't you reply?
Why are you wearing black Mr Gregory?
And really must you cry?
Don't fret Mr Gregory
She'll be back soon with the jam
Don't blame me Mr Gregory
I'm sorry, I really am

    It felt just like a story. I like poems where you can picture the characters from them in your mind. I like the way you asked quetions in this poem. After all what is a poem with no mystery???

    What an odd poem, very interesting indeed though. Reminds me of a nursey rhyme. But with a rather eerie twist to it...

    Wow *shivers* Wow.... Sorry... I am speechless.. wow.....

    This was so emotional. I am having tears in my eyes. I can see this little innocent girl in front of me, asking Mrs G for the ingredients, and never see her come back with it.

    My god.. wow *shivers* wow. This is so powerfull. So emotional. Damn.

    I havent read anything like this. This is unique, original, breath taking. This is more then just excellent.

    Very good. It touched me, got me in tears, got the time standing still for me.. Damn..

    Good work, keep it up. It was amazing. Really. Unbelievable good. Thanks for sharing this.
