Colors of Death

by RadianceInReverse   Nov 28, 2005

Black and Red
Red for life
Black for Death

Blood pumps, Dark Red
Life's gone, now dead
Black is all that is seen

Blood rushes through your veins
keeping you alive night and day
helping you love, hate, anticipate
the life you truly dread
with darkness and spite
no day, everything as black as night

Pain and Torment is all you know
you have no earthly glow
walking like the living dead
with sadness on your face
no words of sadness said

looking through the broken glass
as you gaze at your past
wishing you were never there
as the tears rush so fast

The black tears, that run down your face
is your greatest fear
they make you weak
and knock you off your steady feet
pushing you into the night
no matter how hard you fight

Black has come
The red now gone
your life has faded
like the early dawn
