The True Life__ Of a Girl

by Jessica   Nov 29, 2005

There was this girl. Everybody thought of her as the always happy, ditzy, fun-loving girl, but no one knew what she was going through inside. Behind her smile was depression, tears just waiting to be cried. She hated crying out her feelings in front of people, but she always managed to anyways. She wasn’t the perfect person everyone thought she was. She was a sad depressed girl. She had so much hard stuff to deal with in these teenage years.
Her parents had gotten divorced when she was at a young age. It was had for her to understand, but it was one of the hardest things she ever had to deal with, Her parents separating. Things for her family had ended up working out. Everything turned out to be somewhat ok now. Her mother had found a great man to spend the rest of her life with, and her father had found a great woman to spend the rest of his life with.
Her mother and sister had always been fighting with each other, they just never got along. This made her so sad that sometimes she would run up to her room and scream and cry so hard. Her sister had some problems that they had to deal with as a family. She had an eating disorder called Bulimia, but her sister went anorexic for a while. She had gotten sickly skinny. She later found some scars on her sisters arms, she was frightened that she would want to keep hurting herself more, and more everyday until death. She never once worked up enough courage to talk to her sister about this, until this past year when she told her that she would always be there for her no matter what. Her sister seems to be doing better, en-rolled at a good college, and a lot more healthier.
This past year one of her good friends moved away to a different country. She thought that she would be so upset and depressed, but she seems to be doing good without him. Her best friend in the whole entire world is now moving to a different state. Every night she thinks to herself will I be able to live without her? How am I going to survive without seeing her everyday of my life. She’s my best friend. She cant really leave.
She also lost a friend, and her first crush this year. His name was Justin Mcbryar age 14. He was actively involved in a lot of sports. Justin was hit by a car on September 10, 2005 at 10:25 pm. He was such a great boy, he had his whole life in front of him. After his death she had to stay strong for all her friends that were really suffering. She will always remember sitting in the media center with everyone the Monday after his death. Then over the P.A. the principal saying as you all may know we have lost a student at Dakota High School…. We all broke out in tears. We couldn’t stay strong any longer. He was so young. I guess only the good die right? Is all she thought. He’s in a better place now looking down on us. He would want us to be happy we had so many years with him.
Her boy problems were a big issue. She wasn’t a boy crazy kind of girl. If she liked someone , she liked them a lot and for a while. She pretends all the time she’s over the person and she’s going to move on. But that’s not the truth. Sometimes when you feel like letting go, you have to remember why you held on for so long. Her best friend was her biggest crush, but she wasted her time on him, as he moved on and found another person to like. She hurt inside a lot and sometimes even cried herself to sleep. She wasted her time on something that she knew would never happen.
Is this amazing girl the person you thought she was? No, she’s not perfect one little bit. She’s not even close to being perfect. She has so many problems that no one will never know. She’s just a big mystery to everyone. Behind that smile, she hides a lot.
