When The Time Comes

by Kyle Schulz   Nov 29, 2005

Life is far to precious,
To watch as it slips away,
Would you take your right to stand,
If you could live another day?

Why is it that we treasure life most,
When ours is almost gone,
I do not choose to sit idle,
While life is continuing on,

I do not choose to die in bliss,
I choose to fight,
I stand alone against my fate,
To hold true to what is right,

When I hear the bell toll,
And I know my time has come,
I will clench my fists in determination,
and attack, wherever it is from,

Struggle is not the easy way out,
It is much more painful than letting go,
But I shall not see the kingdom of heaven,
Until I surely know,

That it is truly he who is calling me,
to the pearly gates,
not some wretched human and his lies,
or some sick joke of the miserable fates.

Hey I enjoyed your poem :) Have you written any newer ones lately? Your poem was very intellectual which is awesome because that is how a lot of people connect. Remember *The Tragedy Of Life Is Not That It End So Soon, But That We Wait So Long To Begin It* Once again, awesome poem!
