More than you'll know

by libby   Nov 29, 2005

It's been awhile, and you've
changed so much. Then,
so have I. You've grown out your
hair, and it looks good,
too good. I've dyed mine,
I'm now a blonde, I can now
shake shiningly in the sunlight,
rather than be little mouse girl
in the shadows. What a
change, what a
difference, what an
unsettling sight that must be to you,
as it is for me to notice
that you're not smiling
as much as you used to. See,
I took my cues from you.
When your eyes lit up,
my heart melted.
When you spoke to me,
it was the only time I ever
felt special. Forgive me,
but I think I may have stolen
some of those smiles, way back
when. You showed me one on
your way out, and I
took it for myself. You
flashed another during a small
exchange - I had to have it.
Please pardon me, I only wanted
as much of
you
as I could get. I know that I
mean nothing to you, I'm willing
to accept that. You don't really
remember me, that's fine. You made
your mark, that's what's important.

I really love the whole stealing smiles idea. You have a tendancy to word things so greatly.
