Rescuer

Surrounded by nothing but Darkness
Body aching to be held
Wishing for you to kiss my tears away
Then it builds from within pushing everything down
Numbness takes over and I pretend to be OK
Putting on a smile and making it though the day
But as the sun goes down and the darkness surrounds me once again
My body falls apart and i break down
Wrapping my arms around myself I see a light in the distance
As it grows closers and he takes me in his arms
Cradling me against his chest like a porcelain doll
Wiping away my tears with his gentle fingers
As I look into his eyes and see his love for me pouring out
A calm comes from within as I relax against him
My fear disappearing as I melt into his arms
Safe at last in my rescuers arms.
