Barbed-Wire Fence

by Sildaekar   Nov 29, 2005

As I stand there leaning,
Over the barbed-wire fence,
The clouds above my head,
Become even more dense.

The soft and gentle breeze,
Takes me back to where you are,
So many miles in between us,
So long and so far.

Soon the rain begins to,
Fall from the sky,
The rain falls onto my,
Face as I look up & ask why.

Why can't we be together,
Why do we remain apart,
Why is the only part in my body,
Aching my bleeding heart.

The only way to stop,
This terrible pain ,
The only way to keep,
Me completely sain.

Is to again finally,
Be with you,
Then the pain will,
Be through.
