Face The Facts

by Mishel   Nov 29, 2005

I want you in my life,
But not as a memory.
I really wish you could see,
How much you meant to me.
Yeah, you hurt me,
But I can forgive you.
I have before,
And I will again.
I wish you would just stay,
And hold me close.
Pretend you care,
Pretend that you love me again.
I'm sorry I'm not perfect,
But I love you with every beat of my heart,
With every breath I take.
I'd give you the world if I could.
But it doesn't matter does it?
You're not staying are you?
Things will never be the same will they?
I guess I should just face facts:
That you have me,
But I'll never have you.
