Whispering Leaves

by Sherry Lynn   Nov 29, 2005

Though we fall
We are never alone
Friends and family gather
With open arms

Though are looks
Are never the same
It is our spirit
That forever remains

We each have our own stories
About life, death, love and hurt
But our experiences
Are similar to those
Who preceded us

Listen carefully
You can hear
Each detail we share
How we lived
And how we fell

We whisper it to you
Each time the wind blows
Or on the country roads
When you think you are alone

We offer you protection
From the blazing sun
And bring you comfort
When the storm rages on

Always watching
Always listening
Always whispering
Always loving

The trees we fell from
Will stand tall
We whisper our final goodbyes
When we fall.
