The little girl

She spread her wings
began to fly
everyone who loved her
had a tear in their eye
they didn't understand
why she wanted out
when they tried to talk to her
she'd just scream and shout
this girl was always depressed
thought no one cared
when you saw the look on her face
you suddenly got scared
"I know shes gonna do it
I know she has the guts
to just leave this world
and completely give up"
thats what people would talk about
its exactly what people say
they only wish shed understand it enough
to make her stay
she didn't want to listen
she wouldn't let people make her see
what this little girl
could grow up to be
she was beautiful
used to be full of glee
i really shouldn't say this
but that little girl is me
