I used to be in a dark light.
Feeling depressed and ready to die.
I had thought I could never be happy.
But I guess I was wrong.
All I had to do was look.
Look for something that would make me smile.
And I did.
I found you.
You said I shouldn’t cry.
You said to be happy.
I watched as the dark light became bright.
It made me smile.
I saw you in the light.
It made me laugh.
Even though at the moment I can’t see you.
I am still wrapping my arms around you,
And giving you a hug in the light.
